SOCKtober (October) 2024
School Supply Drive (August 31) 2023
Geneva Hearing is hosting a school supply drive for the U-46 Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. Collections through August 31st. We would love your donations of the Items requested – Dry erase markers multicolor, heavy duty plastic folders with two pockets (solid colors), multi – skin colored crayons and markers, Clorox/Lysol wipes, Kleenex, and Amazon gift cards. Please bring donated items to your next appointment or call the office for drop off information.
Deaf Defy (Summer 2023)
Geneva Hearing, in partnership with Deaf Defy, completed another successful audiology mission trip to the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq. We provided audiologic care in the cities of Sulaymaniyah and Erbil, Iraq to pediatric refugees and children displaced by conflict. Over two weeks, our team was able to assess over 80 students and fit 100 hearing aids. Thank you to all who donated or sent well wishes!
Toys for Tots (November) 2021
On Monday December 3, 2021, we hosted our 2nd Annual Toys-for-Tots drive thru event. Santa made an appearance and we accepted toys that will be sure to brighten a child’s Holiday Season. We are thankful for all our patients and community members who were so generous!
Socktober (October) 2021
We held our 3rd annual Socktober sock drive in October 2021. We collected new pairs of adult and child size socks to donate to local homeless shelters, as it is the #1 requested item.
School Supply Drive (August) 2021
Geneva Hearing Services team collected school supplies to support the students of the U-46 Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. The school supplies were then delivered to the staff and divided amongst the students.
Toys for Tots (November) 2020
The Marine Toys-for-Tots Program has been delivering a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters since 1947. The GHS team was proud to partner with this amazing organization and bring the joy of Christmas to our local community. On Friday December 4th 2020, we hosted our first annual Toys-for-Tots drive thru event. Patients and the community stopped by to donate a lot of toys and cheer!
Socktober (October) 2020
We held our 2nd annual Socktober sock drive in October 2020. Our patients and community really stepped up by bringing in new adult and children’s socks to be donated to our local homeless shelters.
School Supply Drive (August) 2020
Geneva Hearing Services team collected school supplies to support the students of the U-46 Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. So many patients and community members brought in much needed items, such as glue sticks, markers and notebooks. Thank you so much!
Gift of Hearing (March) 2020
Geneva Hearing Services is proud to give back to the community that has supported our mission to ensure everyone is hearing at their very best. In early 2020, we were able to give the gift of better hearing to a wonderful little girl, Rose! The hearing aids and our services were donated to Rose. Rose’s smile tells the whole story!
Holiday Food Drive (Winter) 2019
Geneva Hearing Services collected food & paper products for the food pantry at St Peter’s Church.
Socktober (October) 2019
The #1 requested item of need at homeless shelters is socks. We collect new pairs of adult and child size socks to donate to local homeless shelters.
Northern IL Food Bank (Fall) 2019
Our group of 18 Geneva Hearing Services team members, friends and family worked together to pack food in support of the Northern IL foodbank program. It was great team building activity for a great cause. We even added our name tags to the “Name Tag Ball” in the lobby.
Patient Appreciation (August) 2019
Our patient appreciation event is a great way for us to say “thanks” to our community. It was a warm August day, so the free ice cream sundaes were a big hit. Attendees also enjoyed live music. Who doesn’t like spinning the prize wheel for free stuff?
Deaf Defy Mission (Summer) 2019
In 2019, we partnered with Deaf Defy to provide hearing tests, hearing aids and sign language support to pediatric refugees in Lebanon and Jordan.
U-46 Deaf and Hard of Hearing 5k (May) 2019
We have partnered with the U-46 Deaf and Hard of Hearing program to organize & sponsor a 5K run/walk. This fundraising event provides programming for students and their families (open captioning at movie theaters, ice skating, bowling, etc…)
Deaf Defy Mission (Summer) 2018
In July 2018, Rich traveled with the Deaf Defy group to a refugee camp in Southern Lebanon. This was a mission which provided hearing tests, hearing aids and sign language support to pediatric refugees.
